Stickin' with the basics!

My friends and I had an argument about the difference between to and too. We argued for a while and then we decided to go to about.com to answer our question it said "the preposition to refers to a place, direction, or position. To is also used before the verb in an infinitive. The adverb too means "also" or "excessively."

Examples:

Meg was too tired to walk home. I was tired, too. We walked to a phone booth and called a cab.

Check out the about.com and type in the difference between to and too, if you have the same problem that we had!

  1. I liked the sentence you used for your example. It explained the difference between "to" and "too" nicely. I use to get so confused with when I was suppossed to use "too" It wasn't until about my Junior year in high school that I figured it out.
